(DSC05178) At the Oceanarium "Laot" (Fishing Grounds): Sailfin Tang or "Labahita" (Zebrasoma veliferum) is found in the lagoons and seaward reefs of the Western Indian and Pacific Oceans. It grows to a maximum length of 40 cm; with a life span of 8-12 years; eats leafy macroalgae. The Saifin Tang can be recognized by its pointed snout, tall dorsal and posterior fins, sharp spine on the caudal peduncle, and coloration. (Taken from the aquarium tank's adjacent signage)
