I like this one the best so I'll leave the story here then. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Cros s my heart. It is authentic. What you see is real and no joke. I have been blessed to be engaged to a man who has a heart which runs and follows after God. He is not only my Brother in Christ but my best friend as well. This darling kindhearted gentleman goes by the name Joe Loftus. Shall I tell a small sweet tale? Here is a little story of what happened on a late clear starry Friday night at John Stiff Park on October 17th 2008. From the moment I awake from my delightful slumber and my feet hit the carpeted floor I am up and about. My day planned out. To Canyon I drive, praising Our Heavenly Father as I go. Knowing that wait awaits me is a long day of… dare I say it… studying. *dramatic music plays* Oh dearest me no. Exhausted by calculations and readings galore, I stay as long as possible till the Library chimes to cue that it’s time to close the doors. So back home I return only to continue my head spinning tasks of even more homework stacks. I try my best to patiently wait so as promised my beloved comes to my aid to kidnap me from my towering books if only for a smidgen to give me a bit of rest. My ears hear the sweet melody of my cell ringing allowed. Though knowledge of knowing a bit of peace is close at hand, my studies warn me even still that there are plenty of papers to mill. Joe comes to my rescue that evening taking my hand strolling out into the cool night air whilst chatting side by side without a care. As we walked towards the park, we came upon a peculiar sight. A big handsome Teddy Bear on crimson soft cloth lay out upon the grass. In its fur pawed grasp holds a single royal purple gold dipped rose. Ruby rose petals encircled the sight all the while alit in the dark of night by green glow sticks soft soothing luminous light. Bewildered I know not what to think. Next thing I know, my beloved gets down on one knee to inquire of me… “Melody, will you marry me?” What is a lady to do in my position you ask? Well jump up and down making a joyful note, come close to tears, shed some, and nearly tackle this dear nobleman with a great big embrace of course! The reply is yes. Oh precious God in Heaven, Thank you, and yes Yes YES! On slips the ring, its fit true. The gesture sweet; the moment forever to last within my memories safe always anew. “Do you know what would make this even better,” Joe asks. So slow am I that I dare not think but to ask, “No, what?” He says a picture would be just right for such a time as this. Out he calls towards the shadows of the park to his faithful friend bellowing, “JEFFREY!!!” Further down the pathway, the silhouettes from Russell and Jeffery appear as they draw near. Congratulations are heard left and right from Russell as he holds the light shining bright directed towards us just right as Jeffery motions us to sit so he can take the pic. “You didn’t think I’d leave all this unguarded did you?” Joe whispers in my ear. I nod, blush, and smile in unbelief as he holds me near. After the photo those blessed two leave us be under the starry glimmering canopy of twilight that our eyes behold and see. The moon shown full as it crept slowly above, showering its vivid radiance on us like a peaceful dove. God blessed what His hands brought together that midnight hour by His ever present watchful sight. So ends this little sneak peak at what happened that tender night.
