Hi Melody, Gorgeous name,gorgeous pictures,fantastic sense of humor you have. I admire you deeply. I too, have lost a child. He was my oldest son & was a Marine when he was killed. I UNDERSTAND YOUR PAIN ONLY TO WELL. I WILL visit your daughter's website tonight (computer willing, that is) & leave you a message there as well. I would like VERY MUCH for us to keep in touch hon. I think we have some things in common. Please accept my most sincere condolences on the loss of your precious daughter. The crying continues & eases up w/time, you never forget, but God is w/us, ALWAYS. HE sustains us through EVERYTHING. We also have the happy memories to see us through too. Try your best to keep THEM in the forefront each day. It's not easy to do right now I know, but please DO TRY. You will be glad that you did. You have an advantage over me. You have your Grandchildren from your PRECIOUS daughter. My son had no children. Feel Blessed for the gift of your Grandchildren, & allow them to help you too. They need you as much as you need them. The picture of the eagle caught my eye & held my attention for quite a while before I continued on. I use the gorgeous eagle as a symbol of my son's dedication to his country throughout my personal Webshot's folders. You are in my thoughts & prayers always love.

Eagles are the most beautiful birds. This is a great photo. The way the beak is pointed down, it draws the eye right up and into the photo. Love it.

I am so sorry that more people are not leaving you kind words and thoughts for your loss. My precious Mom just passed away two weeks ago, and my heart aches for you since the pain is so fresh for me too. She and I were so close so I know the hole that is left in your heart but can't even imagine how much more difficult it must be to lose your daughther. I have one that means the world to me. There aren't any magic words that can soothe your pain. God and time will do that but please know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers constantly. I love your photography but I especially love your commitment to your daughter's memory. I am heading to her site now. Dear Dare, thank you for all your lovely thoughts, my website is ArtAttack2go.com, please leave me a message there, or at my daughter's memorial page. I would love to keep in touch. The answer to your question is, we don't have many eagles. But we have a hugh amount of wild birds, we are on a migratory route. I took those pictures which I was at a falonry training lesson. There was no cage, I was that close. The eagles were tied so that they could get around, but not fly away. And yes I was too close, he had a bigger range on me than I thought. Glad they didn't eat me! I can say this, don't spook those guys, you won't know what hit you. I am glad that my picture brought back memories, now we share something. Melody

I'm glad I scrolled down and read your dedication. I'll be going to the site from here. My heart goes out to you. This picture reminded me of a poster my father used to have. It was also of an eagle with a similar "staredown" pose and the caption read "I am Smiling". He has been gone over ten years now but I know he is always with me. My last name is Eagleson so I obviously am into the "regal raptors". I didn't realize you got many eagles in the Netherlands - is that where you took the picture(?) I look forward to seeing more of your work. I'll leave you with my favorite bible quotation: "those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." I believe she is now with the angels AND the eagles and we will all fly in heaven together someday.

What a stunning photograph. To be able to get it up close is just amazing. I watch an Eagle Nest that has 2 cameras on the side of the nest so we can watch the eaglets from the time they are born to when they fledge. It is amazing to watch them live.

I would like to thank everyone for the wonderful comments and caring and compassion you have shown my daughter. Perhaps the eagel photo was to remind me that she is free! Soaring amongst the sky, watching over me. My homepage is ArtAttica2go.com, and before this evening I didn't think about saying this but a memorial page has been established for my daughter: www.atticaannfraley.com and those that wish to purchase even a postcard from my eagle selection, will be given to the fund. My daughter was in the middle of a messy divorce, she was the sole supporter, so alot of pressure was put on her to keep working, when she should have got rest. This is going to sound crude, but I am her mother, and I know there are plenty of people out in the same siuation. Unfortunately the x-that drove her hard to work, will get 1/3 of any of her estate. The thought of her x-getting money for the death of my daughter has me trying to think of ways to compensate. So, all proceeds from the sales, will go into a fund, to help others out during those terrible times. Perhaps Attica is to help the others that didn't get out of a marraige soon enough. We will be posting all information for people and letting them know of updates. So, we are just in the planning stages, but I thought this might make a great time to do something for others. Now I know my daughter would be happy with me. She was a giver! Melody aka Yapsalot2 Thanks for the many prayers, as I haven't left my house but 3 times since then. To make matters worse, I live in Netherlands, my entire family is in the states.
