Album Info:
The Galah is a striking, locally very common Australian endemic species that often feeds on the ground. They look very odd, waddling across a street on their short little legs. We found them mostly in settled areas where they sometimes become quite tame. This photo is uncropped. Pairs remain together year round. This is a male of the eastern race E. r. albiceps which has a gray eyering. Females have reddish eyes, not brown like the males. 28 August 2005, Bulli, NSW, Australia.
