Frederick Peak Intrusion.

Album Info:
Forming part of the ramparts of the Hervey Range escarpment, Frederick Peak is a prominent landscape feature rising above the surrounding plateau west of Townsville, Queensland, Australia. Geologically it's termed 'an intrusive rhyolite ring dyke'. (Source: Tresize and Stephenson, 1990). I've given the original photo a painterly effect via Corel Painter.
