Album Info:
The foothills of the Drakensberg (Dragon) Mountains are surrounded by vast valleys and sweeping meadows of open farmland - most of it given over to the cultivation of what we call mielies (and you guys call corn or maize) - the staple food of African people. Every winter, the landscape is smudged with columns of smoke as farmers burn off their land in preparation for the new growing season in spring (which, for us, starts in September).

Should also mention that the smoke turned out well on the photo!

Acted on instructions. Went thru the album like a dose of salts and then, to humour the clicker, I took this one with 1,5 lines of text. In retrospect, I think I didn't do too badly! Actually I don't off-road and I have gone off my ROADS COLLECTON a bit!! I'm not too bad when writing occasionally; how R U as a Banker? Honestly, I had more fun with that DOOR!

They should turn the vegetation under, rather than burn it! A waste of good mulch, and nutrient's that would make the soil more fertil! If the vegetation they burn is not good for mulch, they can do what organic farmers do, and plant a cover crop to turn under at planting time!
