April 27, 2012. In the afternoon we took the Santa Elena Canyon Hike. This was a 1.6 mile round trip (up and back) hike. The elevation gain for this hike was 300 feet. Photos 331-351 were taken on this hike. Before arriving at the trailhead we stopped at a look-out view of Santa Elena Canyon off of the Ross Maxwell Scenic Drive where this photo was taken. This was one mile before the trailhead parking area. This was the canyon we were supposed to raft through on the original plan. 2:20 PM.
