Album Info:

Smoke from the burning farm pastures lends a lovely softness to the landscape at this time of the year. The trees in the foreground are acacias, a thorn tree indigenous to most of Africa. Birds love them - especially the African shrike, which catches insects for its supper and then impales them on the thorns, returning later to dine at leisure. South Africans refer to these birds as the "Jackie Hangman."
