Album Info:
At friday morning, my wife and me went to the Jerusalem wood/forest - west to the capital JERUSALEM. The place is a lagre half man made forest and half with native trees. The settelers how came to this country 100 years ago, found an country with almost no trees. The Othoman Turkes how where the rulers in this country for hundreds of years, cutt almost all the wood for use as raw material for trains power and the rest was eaten by beduin herds of goats that eat what ever they find.

Yes, Ran, I am familiar with the history of your country with no trees, but you would never know it now, especially with these lovely photos of yours.

Beautiful Ran. I always thought this area was barren. It's wonderful to see the beautiful greens. Wonderful shot. Ray

I always enjoy your photos & captions Ran, I learn so much about your country. Like Ray I didn't know there were many forested areas in Israel. Beautiful shot, Hugs, Bonnie

So are you saying that the trees that were replanted are not native to your area? It is good to see either way that trees have been replanted.

This is so lush and green! It does no longer matter if it is half man made; it is now a forest on its own.
