Although the sky looks like it may have been 'doctered' in fotoshop, ITS WONDERFUL to see an Australian bird on site. I downloaded it to add to my 'Aussie' collection. Is it a Red Tailed Black Cockatoo? Great Shot Steve

Hi Steve, As I said 27 days ago "A fantastic capture Steve. The beautiful blue of our Kimberly sky. The cockatoo with its coloured tail feathers is so clear and sharp as usual." I stand by that today. Never mind those who don't know our BEAUTIFUL BIRDS, or our DEEP BLUE SKIES. I had a feeling back then that this shot was worthy of being a POTD and my feelings have been proven correct. So a great big CONGRATULATIONS!! ENJOY YOUR DAY IN THE SPOTLIGHT. Best wishes from a fellow Aussie .. Trish

Congratulations on your POTD! This is a spectacular capture and I love the clarity of the photo, showing all the details. I'm on my way to view the rest of this stunning album... after bookmarking your homepage so I can return to look at more of your photos and albums; and, after downloading this guy to my "Birds" screen saver/desktop file! You are a very talented pahotgrapher with an outstanding ability to capture difficult shots and have the resulting composition fit just perfectly in the frame of the photo. I'm looking forward to returning to your homepage many times! With all my best wishes for your continued success taking photos and your enjoyment of both photography and nature! Jodi

Good morning and congratulations on having this capture selected as the POTD!!! It is a wonderful photograph as are each of the elements of this album! God has so graced you with talent, skill with the lens and a sensitivity to His creations!!! Thank you for sharing that with us so freely!!! It really is a crying shame that SOME folks seem to HAVE to make disparaging and insulting remarks in one's GB's!!! May Our Heavenly Father continue to bless, guide and protect you and yours Steve!!!!! Terry from Sherwood, Oregon, USA.
