(015) 3-23-2007 Adult Bald Eagle Homer, Alaska. The adult eagle has a pure white head, neck and tail, a brown-black body, and a large yellow bill while the juveniles are mostly dark brown (except for blotchy white underneath & on the wing linings) they acquire a little more white at each molt, taking four to five years to reach the full adult plumage.
