During my recent Pembroke visit, my Mother and I went to a place called the Emerald Necklace hoping to find some waterfowl. There was a single Canada Goose that was so incredibly accommodating....God bless her sweet little soul. As you can see I was able to get quite close to her and she was not the least bit bothered by it. If anything I think I was disturbing her nap time. Mom and I spent a great deal of ~Quality Time~ with this wonderful bird :o) My Mom & sister have now named her Lady Di. Canada Goose picture copyright Renee Dawson.

Awwwwww such a little beauty. These aren't so shy as the ducks and swans. They are very argumentative though, always fighting in our local lake. LOL

She was so beautiful. this is the 1st goose i have seen since being in this area that is not afraid of people,,,,,,,,,she did have a leg band so perhaps for some reason she was being studied,,,i dunno but what a darling !
