There is a legend on this lagoon. It's very long to tell it all but, basically, it is on a young princess who got passionate for a shepherd. The king forbade the two young of meeting each other, and then, in the last day they spent togheter, the two hugged young had cried all the afternoon. Their immense tears, had formed two pretty and great lagoons, one green, like the eyes of the Princess, and another blue, the color of the eyes of the shepherd. And still today, these two lagoons continue in the Valley of the Seven Cities, in the Island of S. Miguel, in Azores, to remember the drama of the two lovers.
