  • Aha:-) Mother and Bambi - what a capture. LOL. I notice that Mama deer is watching very alertly, even 'though you were a distance away - good mother:-) Thanks for this lovely photo - I love shots of Alaska, and animals, so put them together, and you've got a winner with me:-) Cheers.   • The fawn's hindquarters just appear to be striped because it's behind was all wet from going thru the snow to get to the beach. They aren't really striped. And that is kelp wrapped around the logs.

  • Oh how darling she is!!! It must have been wonderful to watch the baby so closely!! Are those ropes wrapped around the log? I love the fawn's markings on her hindquarters, they appear striped. Do they change to solid white as she grows older?
