I wonder, don't this cut ducs are unabel to emigrate during the winter to the south? And if not, as they are permanent zoo tennat, do they cut some of the ducks wings for escape avoid ?

What an incredible bird he is very photogenic and has such an interesting head. Thank you for the wonderful comments on all my pictures that were so late. The Fitzroy gardens are really wonderful and have the conservatory which is lovely i will post an album for you soon, last time we went it was filled with exotic orchids but we had a crash and I lost all my shots for 6 months but i think Jack still has some so i will post them as well. The Carlton Gardens are mainly grass and wonderful fountains which all try because of the drought and water restrictions. They are going to re-plant so next year it should be a wonderful sight. My goodness, two beauties which would make my mate Al go green with envy!! Looks like you had a great day at the zoo - is it very far from your home? Our zoo is about 50 minutes drive but I really would like to go there more often. Once in 25 years is NOT the way to go, that's for sure! Sounds like it is starting to warm up for you and that's exactly what it's doing for us after a pleasantly cool few days. Love and hugs, Peter
