Album Info:
This pretty little bee was on our deck railing. Behind her was a puddle of water from the recent rain - reflecting the sunset just beautifully and casting a glow upon the hair behind her head. She also has a little waterdrop right in front of her eyes. One of my favorite shots so far. Copyright Renee Dawson.

AWWWW!!! Reneeee!!! This is BEEEE-eautiful!!! I ADORE IT!!! Thank you thank you thank you sooo much for thinking of little meeee!!! I truly am honored!!! I LOVE bees ... well ... not when they're chasing me down or buzzing around inside my house. Or ... being stepped on by bare feet ... or slip sliding down inside my Pepsi can ... but .. in general, I'm all in favor of bees!!!! <laughing, laughing> Seriously. Let's get serious here for a minute. Stop that laughing. This is an absolutely fabulous photo!!!!! Your macro work is just amazing, kiddo!!! (Who knew bees were so HAIRY???) Amazing detail, just amazing!! But I think the real icing on the cake here is this amazing LIGHT!!! Truly a gorgeous image .. and I'm truly honored, Renee!! You are such a doll!!! And I'm so happy to know you, ya know that?? 'Tis true!!! Thank you again!!! Big, happy hugs ... Lois

OH WOW! Renee, sunset bees and water drops, what a great catch, they ALL seem to be collecting water drops for you at the moment, or did you just chuck a bucket full over him. LOL. Thats a great idea, chase all the bees with the hose pipe LOL. Seriously though, this is a fabulous shot, good on you hon. Hugs Lynnie

So Renee: when I take macro shots I'm an inch away or even closer to the subject. Are you really that close to this bee? If so, my hat is off to you for being so brave! For one thing I can't imagine that it would stay around along enough for you to get focused in on it, and secondly, don't they sting? LOL Not that I'm afraid of bees, I just let them fly around me and wait for them to fly away, but. . . You're right, there is a water droplet on its' antenna. Nice shot.

A very fitting description and a pretty closeup....it would be so fun to trek with you. I see that water drop and it's detail that you just rarely find....when I read Lois's comment, I wonder if she exploded? :o)
