Aaron at the Butterfield Stage Station. Wednesday, May 2 at 6:20 PM. This was a major rest stop along this southern stage route from St. Louis to California. It ran in its hey day around 1858 prior to the civil war. Afterwards the Trans-continental railroad made the stage coach routes obsolete.
