Album Info:

(DSC05120) At the Oceanarium "Laot" (Fishing Grounds): Teira Batfish or "Dahong Gabi" (Platux teira) are found in shelterd bays as well as deep offshore in the Indo-Pacific region, including the Philippines; commonly found around shipwrecks. They grow to a maximum length of 70 cm., and eat invertebrates. Small juveniles associate with floating debris and form aggregations as they find each other. They may form schools under large Sargassum rafts that usually form after the wet season. (Taken from the aquarium's adjacent signage)
