Album Info:

A second later he was off like a shot. (This was the first small Kingfisher I've seen in my neighbourhood in over a decade. They are quite naive around domestic cats which have nearly wiped out the population. Why people let their cats out of the house to roam and imperil any of a once-vast range of local wildlife, such as this, is beyond me. Here we have to license and fence in dogs. But you can have as many cats as you like and let them prowl the neighbourhood! If they are impounded there's no phone call and penalty to bail them. Just buy another one for $5.00 at the pet store. A sad state of affairs. I've missed the goannas, the peacocks, and the bandicoots along the creek out the back, and . . .)
