Album Info:

(DSC05334) At the Oceanarium "Laot" (Fishing Grounds): Bluespotted Ribbontailed Ray or "Pagi" (Taeniura lymma) occurs around coral reefs in the Indo-Pacific region, including the Philippines. It migrates in groups into shallow sandy areas during the rising tide to feed; disperses on falling tide to seek shelter in caves and under ledges. It grows to maximum length of 35 cm, and has a life span of 8 to 12 years. It feeds on mollusks, worms, shrimps and crabs. This is a colorful stingray with large, bright blue spots on an oval disc and with blue stripes along the tail. It is rarely found buried under the sand. (Taken from the aquarium's adjacent signage)
