Our first glimpse of the famed Mahoosuc Notch. This is considered the toughest mile in the over 2,000 plus mile Appalachian Trail. It took us two hours (10:15 to 12:15) to negotiate this maze of boulders thru the Mahoosuc Notch. Photos 8-40 show what you go thru to traverse the Appalachian Trail thru the Mahoosuc Notch.
