Album Info:

Note the (usual) two juveniles in the foreground tended by mum and dad. When other waterbirds have left the wetlands of northern Queensland, Australia, Brolgas will stay on and eke out a living by probing for bulkuru sedge tubers in the 'post-wet' drying lagoons. Because they are omnivorous, anything else they spot goes on the menu.
