Album Info:
Edeni Lodge, Trichardtsdal, Limpopo Province, South Africa July 19, 2007. Watching this herd of elephants visit a waterhole in the evening was one of the highlights of our recent trip to South Africa. It made me feel like I was back in the Pleistocene before the megafauna all went extinct in the Northern Hemisphere. But megafauna survived in parts of Africa and seeing these wild animals in their native habitat was very close to time-travel for me. I have posted a short video clip of these elephants at: http://outdoors.webshots.com/video/30039 30230040004820CFyKFV Canon PowerShot S3IS.
