Album Info:

A SINGLE PUFFBALL ( Lycoperdon molle) growing on an old moss covered decaying tree trunk. Lycoperdon molle puffballs are, 1-4 cm ( 1/2-1 1/2in) across and 6cm( 2 1/4in) high. They are usually pear-shaped; grayish brown to milky-coffee-colored, minutely spiny or granular. Their habit is on solil or humus in deciduous or coniferous forests. They are frequent by not abundant and found widely distributed in North America. The growing season is from August- October. They are edible when flesh is completely white.

  • I see the f stop is at 22 which would drop shutter speed are you using another source of light,or is it that bright as usually when I find these really growing is during dark raining days.using a tripod??
