Central American Tree Boa (Corallus ruschenbergerii)

Album Info:
Our local guide pointed this snake out to us while we were on a boat in the Caroni Swamp mangroves. He called it Cook's Tree Boa. However, a search for information on the internet: http://www.corallus.com/coo kii/dist.html Revealed that Cook's are not found in Trinidad at all, but are confined to the island of St. Vincent. The Tree Boa found in Trinidad and Tobago is actually the Central American Tree Boa (Corallus ruschenbergerii): http://w ww.corallus.com/ruschenbergerii/dist.htm l Photos of Central American Tree Boa are a good match for the snake we saw.
