Jan. 31, 2008. Camp Surf, Imperial Beach, San Diego, California. This individual has been wintering on the beach chasing kelp flies since it was first found here on 9 December 2007. This bird shows characters of the nominate duller "Western" Palm Warbler, D. p. palmarum. The species is a rare migrant and winter visitor to the coast of California. Panasonic DMC-LZ5 / Nikon FS 3 / 30XWA / hand-held, no adapter.
