Album Info:
Creve Coeur Park and Lake are located in St. Louis County, Missouri. On the left of the photo are rock ledges which are the famous dripping springs (not enough rainfall to see any water). Local folklore says this is the scene of the tragic death of the lovelorn Indian girl whose broken heart is said to have given the lake its sorrowful name - Creve Coeur. P1200335

This looks a bit similar to a rock bridge in Pickwick, Tennessee... http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2823836170010183962rkWZJX

Beautiful hillside, and the rough little bridge fits right into the scene and enhances it. A sad little story about Creve Coueur!

Just love this shot, it reminds me so much of the little bridges we have here on Dartmoor.

This landscape is so pretty, and I love the rock ledge, and the native story as well. The woods make for a nice walk.

Hi Sharon! What a beautiful autumn scene in this lovely park. That is a heart breaking story of the Indian Maiden. Thanks for sharing it and this lovely image. You asked about the weather here, it has been hot still but yesterday morning was our coldest at 39 and I never dreamed it would have gotten that cold till I experienced an hour of it in those sandals. It's 81 degrees right now and we still have not turned on the heat as the air conditioner is needed more. Hugs, Susie

Sharon, thanks for sharing this beauty. Very beautiful surroundings you have there, and so different from the views from Nazare, Portugal.
